David Gaskin

David has over two decades of experience providing professional anesthesia services across all patient populations. He earned a BS in Nursing from Texas Christian University in 1993 and a MS in Health Sciences from Texas Wesleyan in 1998. He has used his extensive clinical experiences to provide acute pain control education to other anesthesia providers across the country through Maverick Medical Education, a company he and a coworker formed over 10 years ago.
Dan Nash
CRNA DNAP
Daniel became an RN in 1983. He worked in the OR, ICU and ER settings for 9 years prior to attending Texas Wesleyan anesthesia program getting his CRNA credential in December 1994. He received his DNAP degree from Texas Wesleyan in 2012. He was in the first class for the Acute Surgical Pain Management Fellowship at MTSA program graduating in 2018. He serves as adjunct faculty for MTSA as a clinical site director. Daniel is co-owner of Maverick Medical Education.

Patrick Myer

Patrick has been a CRNA since 2006 and currently serves as the Chief CRNA in an orthopedic specialty hospital in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. He enjoys learning and teaching regional techniques to fellow professionals in the field. Patrick is currently pursuing his DNP and is completing certifications in Point of Care Ultrasound.
Jason Whiteley

Jason has been teaching ultrasound guided regional anesthesia to CRNAs, SRNAs, and RRNAs for years, both through Maverick and at multiple schools in their nurse anesthesia programs. Jason is currently the chief CRNA for the Hillcrest Healthcare System in Tulsa, Oklahoma.

John Edwards

John M. Edwards III is a certified DNAP and CRNA with a focus on acute pain. He is highly skilled in assessing and prioritizing patient needs, devising plans of care, and working with healthcare teams to deliver superior patient care. Accomplished in developing policies and procedures positively affecting patient outcomes hospital-wide.

He serves as director of Fellowship Alumni Relations at MTSA and as an adjunct faculty member to the Nurse Anesthesia Program at Northern Kentucky University. As well, Stace serves as an Academic Liaison for the Acute Surgical Pain Management Fellowship and as a Thoroughbred Anesthesia Academy.

Masson Farmer

Masson enjoys teaching regional anesthesia and helping to simplify and streamline the practitioner’s approaches, specifically in regards to improved efficiency and success of neural blockade. He practices in a small hospital and strives to be a regional anesthesia resource to his surgical and anesthesia colleagues.

Matthew Bowden

Matt received his MSN from the Univeristy of Tennessee, Chattanooga. He has experience working for the North Mississippi Medical Center until 2019, the Baptist Memorial in North Mississippi since 2021, and now owns his independent practice. Matt is affiliated with the Society of Opioid Free Anesthesia and Maverick Medical Education.

Jackie Rowles
DNP, MBA, MA, CRNA, ANP-BC, DPNAP, DAIPM, FAAN
Jackie is an internationally renowned leader and clinical expert in pain management practice and was instrumental in the development of CRNA pain education, practice, and certification. Her research, practices, developments, and discoveries have been vital to the practice and pain relief of patients all over the world. Her work has been featured in governmental studies, and news reports, and modeled in classes, led by her and modeled by other instructors.
Mindy Wallace

Mindy proudly mentored under and practiced pain management with Jack Neary, CRNA. With years of experience under her belt, she practiced pain management full-time since 2004. Mindy is one of the founders of the Hamline University Pain Management Fellowship and is also faculty for the Pain Management Fellowship at Texas Christian University
Steve Wooden

Steve has been in private anesthesia practice for over 40 years. His practice has a strong non-surgical pain management focus, as well as providing comprehensive anesthesia services in all aspects of anesthesia care. Dr. Wooden is the Past President of the National Board of Certification and Recertification for Nurse Anesthetists (NBCRNA), Past Chairman of the Nebraska State Board of Health, and Past Chairman of the Nebraska Advanced Practice Nursing Board.

Becky Pennington-Moore
Sonographer
Becky is a registered diagnostic cardiac sonographer. She has over 25 years of experience, specifically with the VA Medical Center and Oklahoma University Medical Center. She is currently adjunct faculty for The University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center College of Allied Health and at Oklahoma State University, Oklahoma City.
Amy Thompson
Sonographer
Currently, Amy is the Cardiovascular Sonography Program Coordinator at Bluegrass Community College in Lexington, KY. Aside from the Program Coordinator, Amy serves as a sonographer at Saint Joseph’s Hospital in Lexington, KY.
