A few details about our program:
The structure and format of the online modules and proficiency lab originated with the assistance of a doctoral pedagogy professor in the School of Education at Texas A&M University. We are confident participants will leave the weekend with the confidence and experience to safely and successfully perform these blocks and assessments immediately in a clinical setting.
The online didactic modules for all courses consist of foundational modules allowing participants to work at their own pace in the setting of their choosing and provide the prerequisite knowledge required for the in-person labs. A pre-test, mid-term, and post-test track knowledge acquired through the online program and provide an assessment tool to verify retention of the information.
The hands-on lab combined with the online didactic modules ensures that participants arrive with a thorough understanding of the anatomy associated with the procedures covered and the techniques for performing each block and/or assessment using ultrasound. Specially processed, pulsatile cadavers allow for actual human nerve block performance in a clinical environment and live models provide the opportunity for live scanning and assessment.
