MSN, APRN, CRNA

Julie began her career knowing that she wanted to pursue anesthesia and chronic pain management.  She originally obtained her degree from Columbia University in Neuroscience and worked at a Neurology Clinic in Washington State.  She pursued an accelerated BSN degree at Cox College of Nursing where she graduated Summa Cum Laude, served on the Board of Trustees, and worked at Freeman Health Systems in their large multispeciality ICU.

Julie then pursued her MSN degree at University of New England specifically for the ability to do clinical rotations through Cottage Hospital doing chronic pain management under the tutelage of the pioneers in CRNA Chronic Pain Management – Jack Neary, Peter Frasier, and Melynda Wallace.

Upon graduating, she went to work at Winneshiek Medical Center in Decorah, IA where she could continue her pain management career utilizing both regional acute pain management skills as well as chronic pain management under Keith Barnhill, Todd Schissel, and Josh Delong.

She then became the Director of Anesthesia and Pain Management at Forks Hospital where she started both the regional acute pain program and chronic pain management services.  From there, she was recruited to start Mesa Pain Specialists where she implemented a new chronic pain management program and ketamine and lidocaine infusions.  She is now working full time doing chronic pain management through her company, Erickson Pain Services employed at Androscoggin Valley Hospital.  Here she serves as a clinical site instructor for both TCU and USF pain fellows.

Julie is a member of the AANA and NHANA.
