MSN, CRNA

Matt is a 2016 graduate of the University of Tennessee – Chattanooga Nurse Anesthesia program. Early on in his career as a CRNA, he gained interest in opioid-sparing and regional anesthesia. After a transition to a collaborative anesthesia practice, Matt was able to train and gain experience in regional and non-opioid techniques. The natural progression after gaining mastery of basic regional techniques was a transition to more advanced regional and point of care ultrasound.

Matt shifted gears with his career in 2021 to begin Locum Tenens practice full-time. With travel assignments, he is working with sites around the country that facilitate and encourage cultural shifts towards independent practice. Exposure to an array of practice environments helps to further hone his practice with regional and point of care anesthesia techniques. This transition to self-employment also allows his family of six to not only travel the country with him, but affords him time to be an instructor here with Maverick Medical Education throughout the year.
