We are passionate about others learning techniques that will help relieve pain in their communities and make a better diagnosis for their patients. Maverick Medical Education Instructors are constantly learning themselves and adding to our courses so that we can provide the best medical care through what we have taught our students. This modeling is one component of why continuous medical education is so important.
Becoming a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist, or CRNA, is an official credential that came into existence in the mid-1950s. This position has proven to be a vital part of patient care as patients receive relief before, during, and after medical procedures and in response to chronic pain or injury. The CRNA position has been reviewed to be shown as “safe, high quality, and cost-effective” and is the “most cost-effective model for anesthesia delivery, and there is no measurable difference in the quality of care between CRNAs and other anesthesia providers” according to the American Association of Nurse Anesthesiology. Many of Maverick Medical Education’s instructors are CRNAs and practice in their own communities when not teaching with our team. If you are interested in becoming a CRNA, there are a few steps to follow.
Maverick Medical Education isn’t just passionate about teaching others pain relief methods. We are also passionate about making medical providers better versions of themselves, adding new knowledge, techniques, and trade tips that will serve the patients at each of their practices even better after the completion of one, or all, of our courses. Hand in hand with that, each medical professional has to continue their education beyond their years of schooling, through continuing education credits.
Maverick Medical Education knows that pain is a large part of people’s lives. Whether chronic pain that people figure they simply have to live with, ongoing injuries that are never correctly addressed, or surgical procedures that are trying to help the patient and lead to pain during recovery, pain is a frequent part of many people’s conversations. We know there are alternatives to pain treatment out there, but not all are the best choice.
Maverick Medical Education was founded on the idea of helping medical professionals learn pain relief techniques that will serve their patients and their communities through surgery, medical procedures, injuries, and on-going needs. Rather than holding on to the experience we’ve gained over the years through our own research, training, and practice, we have built a team that is devoted to teaching as many others as we can, knowing we can help patients have better outcomes and healthier lives. This devotion to teaching is just one of the ways our program excels. Combined with our flipped classroom model, with content available immediately upon registration through online modules and hands-on practice during our lab time together, Maverick Medical Education provides quality instruction and support for each of our students.
One may expect to hear agreement that the use of opioids is bad, but the reasoning behind that may not be as well understood. Opioids, even when used on a short term, can have a number of negative side effects that aren’t talked about enough. At Maverick Medical Education, we want medical professionals and the general public to be knowledgeable about what those effects may be.
Behind the Maverick name is a group of men and women who truly believe the methods and courses we teach will revolutionize how our students treat those in their community. When we start a new course, we hope the students will find value in our instruction and are able to apply new techniques in their practices. Jamie Harris, CRNA, is one of our repeat students who can vouch for the application of these methods and how her patients are better for the courses she has taken. As she completes her fellowship through TCU, she is ready to push even further in the pain management and medical practice fields for the success Maverick sees.
We have no doubt that our courses will help you care for the needs of your clinic and patients in a fuller way. Once you decide on a course, or several courses, you can begin learning immediately. However, there are a few tips and tricks to prepare for one of our Maverick Medical Education courses, both remotely and in person.
