Students must complete the online didactic modules before attending the Hands-On Cadaver Lab. The modules are an interactive online learning system that allows students to complete course prerequisites at their own pace and preferred location. The didactic material can be completed in approximately 16 hours independently at the user’s own pace and time.

Users can access content from any computer, tablet, or any other device with an internet connection.

On day one, students will apply lessons from the online didactic modules to experiential training exercises in a clinical environment, developing confidence and proficiency in administering peripheral regional blocks. Using Maverick’s patented pulsatile cadavers, the workshop allows students the most realistic clinical environment available for nerve block training. Live models provide diverse anatomy for ultrasound landmark identification.

On day two, students will go through point-of-care assessment stations taught by experts demonstrating on live human models, as well as have a second opportunity to solidify their skills in the cadaver lab.

Nerve Blocks Taught:
Adductor Canal     Axillary     Femoral     Genicular     Interscalene/Supraclavicular     PENG/LFCN     Popliteal Plexus     Popliteal Sciatic

This Maverick course did a great job at providing a basic understanding of common blocks and how to perform them. The information was presented in a engaging manner, and I really appreciated the videos where David walked us through a full block from scanning to needle placement. Awesome resource for anyone wanting to improve their regional skills!

Summer, SRNA, Utah

I was genuinely so excited to watch these modules! The material was presented in a very structured way that was easy to follow and understand. I feel much more confident in my ability to identify anatomy on US as I enter into clinicals and am definitely inspired to advocate for as many regional opportunities as possible.
