Maverick Medical Education is proud to spotlight James Stockman, MSNA, CRNA, NSPM-C, and Grasshopper Anesthesia Services, the sponsor of our upcoming October 4–5 Combo Course in Humble, TX.

James’s journey with Maverick began in 2014 when he attended one of our courses. Inspired by the hands-on training, he expanded his practice to incorporate a wide range of regional anesthesia techniques, skills he now teaches as a Maverick instructor. In 2018, James and his wife, Kendra, also a CRNA, founded Grasshopper Anesthesia Services, which has since grown to provide anesthesia management across 15 locations in Texas. Their team is dedicated to advancing multimodal and regional anesthesia practices, enabling providers to enhance patient care through innovative techniques.

Beyond his clinical and business leadership, James is a passionate advocate for CRNAs in Texas. He is the President-Elect of the Texas Association of Nurse Anesthetists (TxANA) Board for 2025–2026, where he will continue to work to protect CRNA practice from ongoing regulatory and legislative challenges. His vision includes:

  • Expanding member engagement and communication within TxANA
  • Strengthening representation in the state’s regulatory systems
  • Pursuing opt-out and full practice authority where feasible
  • Building leadership development systems to prepare CRNAs for state and national leadership roles.

James’s leadership reflects a deep commitment to ensuring that patients in Texas continue to have safe, cost-effective access to anesthesia care and that CRNAs are equipped to thrive in a rapidly evolving healthcare environment.

We are honored to have James and Grasshopper Anesthesia sponsoring the October Combo Course, a two-day training designed to sharpen skills in regional anesthesia and POCUS with vascular access. Their support underscores our shared mission: empowering CRNAs and SRNAs with practical education they can bring directly into patient care while strengthening the future of the profession.
