Scott began his anesthesia career working in the general anesthesia department at the Cleveland Clinic Foundation (CCF). After gaining valuable clinical experience, Scott left CCF and has spent most of his career as co-owner of two different CRNA groups practicing throughout Ohio. Much of Scott’s professional focus has been on outpatient anesthesia, ultrasound guided regional anesthesia (UGRA) and the business of anesthesia. He has served as a clinical preceptor for nurse anesthesia students and is adjunct faculty at the Middle Tennessee School of Anesthesia Acute Surgical Pain Fellowship.
Scott was the co-owner of Western Reserve Anesthesia Education, which served as an education company to help teach CRNAs and nurse anesthesia students on how to safely perform UGRA. Scott has participated in various conferences and workshops across the country on the topics of UGRA and point of care ultrasound (POCUS). He also went on to create the Block Buddy Pro application. Scott is the recipient of the 2018 Ohio State Association of Nurse Anesthetists CRNA of Year and the 2019 AANA Alice Magaw Outstanding Clinical Practitioner Award.
